Excursions
Doka Coffee Plantation Tour:
Established by the pioneering Vargas Family, the Doka Coffee Plantation is the largest coffee plantation in Costa Rica. Captivate your senses and discover the secrets of coffee production! Learn more about production, harvest, geography, cultivation and visit the oldest Wet Mill of Costa Rica (120 years old). Doka also features a bonsai garden and butterfly garden. Chocolate covered coffee bean, coffee and coffee liquor tastings end this full-flavored adventure.

Green Ark Botanical Garden Tour:
The Ark is an ethnobotanical garden nestled in the slopes of Barva Volcano. More than 1,600 species of ornamental plants and fruits from many regions of the world are found throughout the garden. An essential part of the experience is that interaction between visitors and plants. You will be able to enjoy the sacred garden, with a display of plants with psychoactive properties, the fruit trees garden, as well as the collection of ornamental plants and bamboos. The walk ends with a visit to a small tree house built on a large ficus tree. A six-course lunch in a restaurant with amazing architecture and beautiful views of the Central Valley is the perfect closure to this ethnobotanical experience.​​​

Yoga & More
Early morning japa walks greet the sunrise followed by yoga classes curated specifically for this unique retreat by Chris Ohno and Kim Ohno. Morning classes will flow and help energize your body.
Evening classes will be a combination of yin, restorative, stretching, sound bath, meditation to wind down and bring you to relaxation. Gorgeous views envelop you in the yoga shalas complete with yoga mats and props. All of the yoga classes are suitable for all levels.

FAQs
What is the airport info?
Arrive into SJO (Juan Santamaria) airport anytime on 7/25 and depart on 8/1. Once you've booked your flight, share your flight information with us so Pura Vida will provide a shuttle to pick you up.
What should I pack?
Bring layers (temps range 58–88°F), swimsuit, rain gear, hiking shoes, toiletries, sunscreen, bug spray, reusable water bottle, hat, sunglasses, and any medications.
Is there wifi?
Yes, there is wifi and note that the signal is stronger closer to the front desk/office.
Will my cell phone work?
Likely yes but check with your provider. Whatsapp is recommended for free international communication.
Is the water safe to drink?
Yes, filtered water stations are located throughout the property. Bring a refillable water bottle.
Do I need a visa or passport?
A valid passport (6+ months from entry date) and return ticket are required. U.S. and Canadian citizens do not need a visa.
What is the refund policy and should I get travel insurance?
