Jennifer Winther
Teacher
For Jennifer, it’s all about practice - practice as joy, practice as passion, practice as healing, practice as refuge. Her aim as a teacher is to offer a space for practice where each person can arrive filled with whatever their life and day-to-day challenges might be, and leave feeling more spacious in body, mind, & heart, more grounded, supported, and freer.
Jennifer teaches from her personal practice: sometimes sweaty, sometimes flowy, sometimes deep & strong, sometimes deep & stretchy, and sometimes rather quiet. However each practice unfolds, there is always time for pausing, stillness, and awareness of breath, because developing our capacity for true presence is the starting point for everything else that our practice has to offer.
Surviving breast cancer & childhood loss, career shifts, parenting, and living as a mixed race person in America are some of the challenges in Jennifer’s life that keep her returning to her mat and meditation cushion for refuge and healing.
Honoring all that her teachers have shared with her over many years of practice & study, and offering it to others in studio classes, teacher trainings, workplace meditation sessions, and retreats around the world is a source of true joy and nourishment for Jennifer. She is delighted to be a part of the Sunstone Yoga community and looks forward to practicing with you regularly.
