Ritu Roy

Certified in Hata Yoga TTC 200 hours and Prenatal Yoga TTC, Rituparna pursues to build a yoga community by sharing her practice in asana and pranayama. In her attempt to follow the eight limbs of yoga from Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, Ritu believes that yoga is as important on the mat as it is off it. Inspired from her Indian heritage, Ritu wants to involve other aspects of yoga, including chanting, meditation and nutrition to create a more balanced lifestyle. She practices Hata yoga to include all movements of the spine in a rhythmic, systematic and orderly fashion, such as standing, balancing, core, backbends, forward folds, twists and inversions. The “sankalpa” or intention behind her classes is to ensure that practitioners are able to achieve strength, endurance, and flexibility in equal parts; it is only then that yoga truly begins to manifest in life.
